This white cutey cat originated from the Sony PlayStation and PSP game called Doko Demo Issho (どこでもいっしょ which means Together everywhere).

Origin of the Name

When it was young, it was dumped by road side. It was then adopted by a sushi shop owner named Inoue (井上). The shop owner found that it likes to eat tuna fish which is called "Toro" (トロ) in Japanese.

There is a movie about it -- トロと旅する. This movie is about the journey of Inoue Toro which met with some celebrities when it was traveling.
